Am taking my 9yr old grandson to the beach this weekend to do some surf fishing. Am thinking of some place from Harkers >South to the SC line, Any suggestions?
Have always had reasonable luck on TopSail near the inlet, so am thinking about there? But am open to suggestions.
This will be a strictly Surf trip, I may bring the Yak to get the baits out if need be though

Thanks in advance

Mike

Don't know bout specific spots, but an inlet is probably going to be ur best bet from the surf. There should be some black drum around, use shrimp. Might be a few puppy drum and mullet. Good luck, going to be a beautiful weekend!!!!

Looks like its either going to be Topsail or Ft Macon. but theres an outside chance we might take the ferry out to Cape Lookout.

Thanks
Mike

Check out drumwagon.com, if you are going to Lookout. They got some reports on there. Been catchin some puppy and black drum at both north and south ends, and around mile marker 34 if remember correctly.
