I'm New to this site and don't know if this is the forum to post this at, but here goes...I am looking for a boat that will ply skinny water as well as go 10-20 miles off shore (conditions permitting).

I have a 16ft smoker craft and a 22ft Cobia WAC . I am trying to consolidate and get rid of the 16 footer as well as save on gas costs from the 200 Johnson 2 stroke pushing the Cobia. I read the Sundance manufacturer site and the Salt water Fisherman review that were almost the same info word for word.

I would prefer to hear from someone who has a NX21 Sundance or other sundance owners for info on their boats. I know the Carolina Skiff 19DLV elite is a comparable choice but I have a wife to appease. (She hates the look of the CS's). I am trying to find looks/style and fuctionality in he same boat. After all, she usually catches the larger fish when we are out! (UH, thats because I am operating the boat while trolling and she benifits from my expert handeling of the boat! Laughing LOL)
The wife wants us to get a same size CC or larger for off shore use. (Tough problem to have in a wife Huh)? But I can live repowering the Cobia with a 4stk and buy an inshore flat water boat that can double for near shore too. The price of the Sundance is inviting considering all other CC's we looked at in the 21 -23 ft range were in the 30 - 50 thousands!

Any ideas and info on Sundance especially the NX 21 would be appreciated...PAUL

Well, I have decided to just go with a shallow draft boat to replace the Smokercraft V bottom..

I bought a Sundance 18 BCCR. It fills the niche for the shallow water and will do OK outside on calm days. It has a 90 HP Yamaha 4 stroke and preforms well so far. I do now remember why I dislike flat bottoms, buuut thaat iss annnnotheerr sstoory.
