| As I sit and wait for the moratorium of "elusive" grouper and snapper to come to an end, I hear the news of new regulations being considered, by executive order of Obama. I am normally not a vocal person in the world of politics because I feel there are smarter and more educated folks that can handle our Country's problems better than I could. As of late, I am feeling the increasing need to do something or sit back and watch as the United States of America is systematically destroyed day by day. In speaking with Tim Barefoot of RFA (Recreational Fishing Alliance) and Barefoot Fishing, I was reminded that is imperative that we stand up as a group to be heard. I did not go to Washington in Feb. and I now regret it. If the opportunity presents itself again, I will be there. I will be writing letters to legislators and public officials to urge responsible management of our fisheries with good data and reliable people. Remember, If we start seeing MPA's popping up all over the NC Coastal Waters, where do you think they will be? WHERE THE FISH ARE, that's where. Just had to vent and now I'll head back to the bottom. Summer is coming, See ya on the water. T.Byrd |

I wrote letters after I came back from DC and received replies from our NC contingent that were well written, and showed they understood the issues from Burr, McIntyre and Jones. The reply from Hagan was she was very busy and did not have time. _________________ SeaHunter 35 CC

Hagan spoke on 2/24 to the crowd, her words were the same as all others that day were to the masses. However when you write her office on any issue, you get the same canned response. Be certain, it does arrive within minutes of your hitting the Enter key:
