| Heading down this weekend to get ready for some fishing and I believe that my REVERE life raft is due for first inspection. I don't see any places in NC on their web site that does it. Does anyone know of a place in the Wilmington area that might do life raft certification?? |

I would try the coast guard... they do vessel inspection and may be able to help you out or at least point you in the right direction! _________________ Acts 10:13

There are no certified life raft inspectors in the Wilmington, NC area. However, you can drop it off at Paxton Marine in Dutch Square and they will ship it to USA Services in Norfolk, VA for reinspection. I think most people in the area use this service. Call USA services first, Wilmington, NC

I used Air-Sea Safety & Survival in Charleston to certify my Plastimo valise 4-man offshore raft for the first inspection, and I'm glad I did. I think the action had rusted up and the dang thing probably would not have inflated if I had needed it to. They sell and service several brands of rafts there, and they know who makes the best ones. Fortunately, mine was just barely out of warranty, but Air-Sea got Plastimo to cover the valve under warranty.
Needless to say, I won't buy Plastimo next time around; there are better products out there at about the same cost.

| USA is the way to go. They do a good job and turnaround is 2-3 weeks. More importantly they take this s*&^ seriously and test everything before getting it back to you. You'd be suprised what is in there. It looks like a one month vacation pckage to me if you don't mind the dried food' |

Revere is in Jacksonville, FL. I also have a house there but mine isn't due for inspection for another season. It does give one great peace of mind on the water. _________________ Triton 240LTS w/Merc Opti 225 |
