I have searched this site up and down, as well as Hull Truth and google on trying to download waypoints from supermap to a Furuno 1834C w/ Navionics Navnet VX2. I tried the easy EasyGPS but that isn't compatible with Furuno. Other places have mentioned Maxsea as being a good program, however, it seems to be expensive for what I am trying to do. I would like to put the file right on to my SD Card. What is the best way to do this for the least amount of money? Appreciate the assistance.

I use GPSU and have found to be a cool little program for doing all kinds of things.

http://www.gpsu.co.uk/

I am suprized that EasyGPS would not do it. Was it throwing an error?

I know some folks have a hard time with a few of the waypoints called 100' whatever. the _'_ casues an error.

Ok....so I've tried the easy gps and it downloads it in the GPX format. I have also bought the software from GPSU.

I am able to set the software up for my Furuno in the correct format but when it converts it it creates new waypoint names with a W_ _ _ number and no matter what settings I have manipulated so far it will not use the Waypoint names from the gpx format... any solutions? I'm losing a lot of good information if I can't keep the waypoint name / comments.

A lot of time has gone into this so far and just keep frustrating myself!!
