| Headed down to West Palm Beach at the end of the month and going to go catch some sailfish I hope. However there will only be two of us fishing instead of the 4 that started out. Anybody know of a center console charter boat. Had some infor on a big boat but with the two going we are looking for something a little smaller and maybe cheaper. Thanks for any help. |

Capt Joe Dobbins runs a 28 Whitewater fished out of Jupiter which is pretty much the same as West Palm. He is an excellent fisherman and will most likely kite fish live bait which you pay additional for if none is available to catch yourself. Joe's a great guy and a really good fisherman. Only thing to remember about Sail Fishing that time of year is the best bite is on a cold front which usually comes with North or North East wind which really makes for some sporty days fishing the stream especially from a center console. Bigger is usually better but I do understand the cost factor. Sails move up and down the coast depending on wind direction this time of year so most boats will run to where they have been catching from Jupiter to Boynton Beach so picking one inlet to fish out of makes little difference everyone fishes where the bite is best.
Hope this helps :)

If you can find six Capt. Tony Matarese runs the 41 Hatteras "Showtime" from Sea Sport Marina in Jupiter and he's a great guy to fish. I know both personally from when I lived in Jupiter and both will show you a really great time.
If you want to do some great bottom fishing Capt. Bill Taylor on the "Black Dog" runs as a walk on 12 man boat so the cost is reasonable on split charters first come first serve from "The Square Grouper" AKA Castaway's bar dock in Jupiter. Suggest calling him for a reserved spot that time of year he sails twice a day and books up really fast. I have sent many people to him and never got anything but phone calls thanking me and telling me what a great day they had with him. Never see people get off his boat without fish to take home. _________________ There always biting somewhere |
