Where's the best place to look for a handgun anywhere from Raleigh east? Who generally has the best selection and best prices?

Thanks,

What are you looking for exactly. I'm in Jacksonville and can get you anything you want. I usually can beat most prices by alot. I specialize in Glock ,Sig Sauer, Taurus, and Charter Arms.

I am a big fan at Fuquay Gun and Gold in Fuquay-Varina. I have bought a couple from them and bought my wife's just recently. They are very knowledgeable and answered my questions before I had them. A man named "Bird Dog" has helped me every time.

Check Online at Buds or Cheaper than Dirt.
Will beat any local gun dealers price and will deliver to most local FFLs.
With shipping and transfer fee with local FFL still MUCH CHEAPER!

If you do not like to mail order and DO like to pay NC sales tax Village Pawn in Wadesboro. Also a huge selection and gives a cash discount on top of the best prices.

If you really want American quality, with the light weight feel of a GLOCK, with a better ergonomic grip, try the Smith & Wesson M&P. Try either the 9mm or .40cal. Polymer frame, steel slide, changeable grips, and a 17+1 magazine makes it a homerun for semi-auto pistols. The sub-compact version is perfect for concealment.

Be very careful of the triggers in the M&P's

Capt John, can or will you expound on the problem with the triggers?

Thanks

Got some friends that got a shipment to train with in TN and they worked fine. They used them on the last deployment and the triggers failed on 11 weapons. Seems the trigger system is the same as the cheaper S&W sigmas. After enough rounds the reset system failed and the gun would either not fire because of the trigger not engaging or the gun would double fire. This is with several different shipments they received straight from S&W. They've now gone back to FN and Sig Sauer.

The M&P's are good guns from what I can tell, but they are overpriced for what you get. They're not the most user friendly for beginners as far as maintenance is concerned either. Just my opinion though.
