Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I hope that each and every one of you have a fantastic and safe turkey day.

The inshore shore fishing for Speckled Trout and Red Drum continues to be very good. We have been catching fish in the creeks, on the flats and also off of the beach.

This is the time of year that the Redfish school up and it is not uncommon to see schools of several hundred fish at a time. This past weekend I got on a school of several hundred fish in the ocean and they were some really nice slot and overslot fish. My first fish of the morning was a brute, 34-incher. You will find these fish right up in the breakers, so be careful and pick you days.

Sunday afternoon I took Brandon out for an afternoon of Speckled Trout fishing. The bite was a little slow, but with persistence and the proper presentation, we put some nice fish in the cooler.

Gulp shrimp and jerkbaits fished
slowly on jig heads was the trick to getting the fish to bite.

Get out this Thanksgiving weekend and catch some fish. Tis' the season Laughing Laughing Laughing

.. I've been trying some of those "Arkie" weighted hooks with the Gulp Jerk Shads and some other soft baits.. The "lightness" of it kindof forces ya to work it very slow.. Anything faster and it'll bring'em to the top.. Great action.. Pretty much snag-free.. d:^) Schneeky..
