When you click on a Satellite in Supermap....Then Pick your Satellitte....In this Case I picked Modis....You get a Drop down menu with Thumbnails of the datasets. Right Beside the Thumbnail there is all these numbers....
30F-60F
40F-70F
50F-80F
60F-90F
65F-85F
70F-90F

You can click on one of those and this is what happens....and why

On the internet we can only use 256 colors.
1 color = .1 degree
so we could only do 25.6 degrees with a ramp. (We streched it to 30)

Here let me show you want happens with some Screen Shots...

Keep in mind that these are ALL the SAME MODIS SST shot from 6am this morning. We just moved the colors around to high light different degree water.

You can look through the BIG images here...

This is the 30F-60F Ramp.

Where the color is.....the temp is less than 60F. If you are looking for the LINE that is 60F...This shows it.

This is the 40F-70F Ramp.
If you wanted to see water temps LESS than 70F....or if you want to know where the 70F line is...Use this.

This is the 50F-80F Ramp.

This is the 60F-90F Ramp.

Now we hit a couple of Custom Ramps...Onnly 20 Degree Ramp....USeful in the summer when the temps are real HOTT!
This is 70F-90F

and 65F - 85F
