Sunday I had the pleasure of taking my childhood friend Steve, his co-worker Bob and my second dad Steve Sr. for a morning of inshore catching. The time shared was priceless catching up with old friends, making new friends and just putting a hurt on the inshore gamefish. Not only did we get an inshore grand slam of Redfish, Black Drum, Speckled Trout and Flounder, but we did it multiple times!!!
If you have not been inshore game fishing or have not had much success at it, now is the time to go. Get yourself some Berkley Gulp 3-inch shrimp, a 1/4oz. jig head and go catch em up!!! Don't even waste your time messing with live bait, the BG is all you need. Just remember, KISS...keep it slow and simple. Cast those baits up next to the marsh grass and creek mouths, jig them off the bottom with a 9-12 action of your rod tip and let it fall. Reel up the slack and repeat. Before long, you'll be reeling fish in left and right.
If the specks is what you want, get some BG pearl white jerk baits and hang on!!!! Here is a few pics from our trip.
