Anything to the south on Bald Head Island?

Heading there tonight and trying to decide whether to bring the skiff or pound the sand

I have seen some small croakers and a puffer caught off Sea View Pier today. Also some dogfish off the end.

Tried the surf at Bald head for an hour and a half on Saturday afternoon.

Fished the point and it is very different than it was last fall. Most of the point has shifted and that small cove to the north has filled in. On the west side the beach is flat, flat, flat and shallow

There was a very shallow slough running north, but not much going on. The slough was maybe three feet deep and the water was muddy.

Did see a few mullet so that is a good sign and the gannets were working hard offshore about a quarter of a mile.

Not a bite on shrimp but considering the lay of the bottom, I really did not expect any
