First I would like to say THANK YOU to John (Tiggere) for designing the new logo's. I am going to post up a poll and would like every one to choose which logo they like better. Also let me know if I should investigate T shirts. I am thinking Cape Fear Anglers on the pocket and the logo on the back.

OKAY so I can't figure how to start a poll..... So lets do it the old fashioned way. Just respond to this post and I will count the votes.

I like the logo. I think T-shirts with that image with different species options would be cool. I would like options like drum or trout. Hope I'm not confusing things.

I agree, I wouldn't limit to one species of fish. I like the Mahi because I fish mostly offshore whereas inshore anglers would probably prefer the inshore species. With that being said a combination of Mahi, King, Grouper, Trout, Drum and Flounder might be preferable to many. See how quickly something simple can can take a turn!

Guys, Thank you very much for the input. This is what we need. We are only in the very early design stages. Tiggere has done this work I think that I jumped the gun because this art may not be acceptable for T shirts. But as I said this is in it's infancy. I would ask that you come to the meeting on the 21st so we can get all the ideas into the works. At that point I would like to get the membership to decide on an appropriate logo for the club. This is not something that we will rush into because it will be with us forever. Please come to the meeting/fish fry. June 21st at Masonboro Yacht Club.

The secret to getting good prices on t-shirts, hats, and decals is to buy in bulk. If you have to make three or four different images your cost per unit will be high. BTW, I like the compass rose design. Your problem is going to be incorporating everyone's favorite fish. Perhaps put the script inside the compass rose and use the compass points to point out a different fish species. You have 8 major points: mahi, wahoo, king mackeral, tuna, sailfish, red drum, flounder, speckled trout

yea and alternate between a offshore and inshore fish on each point and then there won't be any favorites. You know how fishermen can be roll

All good points. Coming from over 40 years in the printing industry I know making multiple designs is cost prohibitive. That is why I am looking for input and ideas. If you are not members please come to the fish fry on the 21st and see what we are all about.

Thread count? This is for an embroidery? If so, the idea for all the fish being on the patch will be too complicated and hard to see. Silk screen, though, would be more cost effective and allow for smaller batches because the screens are what really cost money. Once they are made, you can reprint the logo as often as you like.

I like the idea of the 8 fish and the rose. Definitely would want to own more than one.
