After having some boat maintenance taken care of and getting through serveral weeks of trade shows, I was finally able to get back on the water for a for hours on Sunday. The weather wasn't great and neither was the fishing, but I did manage to catch one nice speck and a great slot sized redfish. The redfish fell for my favorite winter time lure, the skimmer jig tipped with a berkley gulp. The speck fell for a gulp swimming mullet fished on a falcon lures weighted wide gap hook. I have a couple more weeks of fishing schools and other commitments coming up, but I am looking forward to spending more time back on the water. Here is a couple of pics from the weekend.
