Dead is the only word for the fishing at Mercers 10-26...beautiful water..but just a few blues at low tide and NOTHING ELSE!!!!
Monday there was a fair catch of big sea mullet on sandfleas...between 2 fishermen..
Tuesday a pompano fisherman landed a 7 lb. 11 oz sheephead throwing as far out as he could cast and NOTHING ELSE..
New moon and clear water and october and nothing but PINFISH for the majority..
But it ain't much better at Topsail or Kure either.. |

Contrary to the reports above are all the unpublished reports of limits of 2 and 3 pound trout caught on mirolures every night by those who know how.  |

Scalez do you mean like these, but only bigger .......
Feel lucky to have caught 2 Trout this morning & only saw 4 others caught. There was maybe 20 people fishing ........
What a difference a wind shift & warm temp. makes. Yesterday almost everyone limited out ...... ICM

| Thanks ICM for making me stick it out this morning so I could get my first mirrolure surf trout! Saw 3 more caught after you left on grubs on either side of where we were fishing. |

..well we really DON'T want that to get out!!!......a limit is ONLY 4 fish anyway......
I really MISS the Jolly Roger Pier North side limits of 10.......and them all OVER 3 LB.....but I guess we just need to be thank-ful for some surf trout after the last 2 lousy falls.................. |
