The key to being able to use Supermap on an I-Phone is to enbale Javascript in the Settings menu for safari.

Do you have the same directions for the Droid?

i have the same problem with the droid, map opens for just a second, then completely closes down. any help would be grateful. thanks

I do not have a Droid to play with.....but I am sure it has to do with the javascript settings.

Enable or disable the Javascript feature in the Motorola Droid web Browser.

1. Open the Browser app.

2. Press Menu.

3. Tap More.

4. Tap Settings.

5. Tap More.

6. Scroll down and check Enable Javascript to enable it, uncheck it to disable it.

Thanks for taking the time to check it out capt. dave... For some reason it still doesnt work. Im sure its a bug in the phone...google is sending updates all the time to fix these problems. I'll send em a message about it and maybe they will fix it in the next update...thanks again

What does it do?

Does the map load at all?

Does if Flash and then disappear?

Is there another browser that you can use with Droid?

Can anyone help me to get supermap to work on my I-pad? It used to work but now all I am getting is a blank Carolina Blue screen with the tabs at the top. I made sure that java-script was enabled but I don't know what else to try. thanks.

I do not know much about I-Pads...YET....I am looking at buying one now...

So Javascript is enabled....
You are logged in...
The map loads....but all you see is Carolina Blue.

Did you see anything while it was loading?

You should get one. I love mine. I know it has worked before because I remember looking at the supermap on the boat one morning. I didn't see anything other than the blue screen. At the top of the screen it shows me when a page is loading and its not doing that either. I did do a software update a few weeks ago so I wonder if that has something to do with it. Thanks for your help though, love the website.

Let me know how it works for you. I am sure you will like it. I got the Marine Navionics app for it for I think $25. It works great as a back up chartplotter. I just make sure to turn off my 3G and wifi so it doesn't search for a signal all day and kill my battery. The ipad is also great for entertaining the crew with a movie to and from the fishing grounds. Good luck, thanks again.

The isue is not the Ipad it self it is the Default Browser that is causeing the problem.

I have not worked on the problem as of yet....but I will add it to my "To Do" list for this winter.

I had the same problem with my MacBook, ie. carolina blue screen and nothing else. This happens when I use Safari but switching to Firefox and everything works great. I don't have an ipad so don't know if you can change the browser on it.

Safari does not handle javascript correctly. WE don't us JS forthe display....we use it to turn things on and off.

That is why it displays....but doe not show the individual layers.

Is there another browser that can used with the iPad that will work with supermap? We just got one and supermap doesn't work with safari as stated. I did look at firefox but it says that it's not functional with iPads.
