We hit south of the tower both days. Water temps 71 degrees pretty much top to bottom (80 ft.). Vis was awful on Saturday, 10-15 feet at best. Current brought in clean water Sunday and we had 50+ feet vis. Got the usual assortment of hogs, grouper and lobsters, plus this 57-pound cobia (my first one)....

Thanks piper. Sorry zig, no videos this trip. Too bad, that cobia would have made for a good video. _________________ BaDaBing Fishing Team

I'm surprised to see the water so 'rough'. I was at the Blackjack and it was literally like a sheet of glass. Congrats on the cobia! _________________ Parker 2510 DVWA |

sick joe!!! that is a stud cobia, from the shot placement, I bet you had to do some wrestling. I went to the tower sat and hit the mickey while there with my regular crew. big moma's were hanging all over it so I was hesitant to pull the trigger. we got some fish, viz was crappy. ended up in the stream sunday looking for hoo's and found one. way to go on that toad!!

Only managed a 14 and 1 15 lb Gag.
But the ocean was Great! |

Thanks, he gave me quite a slay ride. Started doing circles and had me wrapped up for a bit. I was lucky that the guys in the boat knew what they were doing and stuck him with the gaff on the first try. _________________ BaDaBing Fishing Team
