With all the warm weather we have been having the past few days, decided to try to do a dive! The original plan was to hit the liberty ship, but with the wind picking up by the minute we settled for the jetty. Once we arrived to the spot we got the warm gear on and slipped into the frigid 57 degree water. I didn't bring my sling because I really wasn't expecting to see much worth shooting, but to our surprise we saw a sheepshead within minutes of hitting the bottom. Came back up and grabbed the sling that James had luckily thought to bring. Before I even got within sight of the rocks James was alright pulling a sheepshead off the sling! Saw lots of them throughout the dive, and a few black drum, pinfish, grunts and black bass. All in all, a great dive. We decided to call it and surface to defrost after about 45 minutes or so. Not bad for January!! Smile

Nice Matt, 57 deg water is cold, just cold! Ive surfed in 42 deg and turned into an icicle....it was raw! good gettng those sheepies with the sling, them suckas get smart when its warms up and the jetty gets a lot of traffic. I got on the lib turkey day, little founder were running scared, not much else, little sheeps and taugs, but viz wasnt bad, for the lib it was great, 60 deg water. fire up the grill man!
