Hey Spearos,
My boat will be in drydock over the next few months getting a major overhaul. As far as I'm concerned, it is never too cold to dive, and if you need an extra for a trip to share fuel/whatever costs please hit me up. If you can get to the FPT area I can put you on some great spots for hogs and lobsters. _________________ BaDaBing Fishing Team

I tried spearfishing once last summer and within 6 months I bought a boat, speargear, offshore fishing gear ect. That was the most expensive trip I ever made. Can,t hold my breath worth a crap so am thinking of buy a hookah system for next year..
Can't wait til next summer. We went out once with hopes of spearfishing, good thing we got cold feet other wise we would have been popsicles on the way in. A center console does not make for a good winter time spearfishing boat. If you get a ride on one with a cabin count me in! |

My boat is a 29-foot walkaround, so hit me up in April and we'll get you out. I hear you on the $$. I do scuba, so between my dive gear and speargun I'm dropping over the side with $2,000 worth of gear on me. _________________ BaDaBing Fishing Team

I'll let you know if we are planning anything around the tower. However right now my boat is sitting on the trailer waiting on me to finish the list of maintenance work it needs. Also since we can't shoot grouper right now it might be hard for me to convince my crew to dive instead of troll. _________________ 31\' Contender w/ twin Yamaha 300\'s \"Paper Weight\" |

I am looking at insurance costs to run 4-pack offshore trips this summer (me, divemaster, 4 divers w/ 2 tanks each) if anybody is interested in getting away from a dive boat. _________________ Seaward Action Charters - 20% off all charters for active military!!!

Hey CC,
I seldom get out cheap. I drop over the side with all that gear, but half the time I come back up missing something.
We got the Bada-Bing all torn apart right now, check out the interior:

Re-doing the whole interior, adding custom tank racks and gun racks, most of the deck aluminum and T-Top getting blasted and powder-coated. Will be running hard to have her ready to go by May 1.
With this mild winter, we are going to have some sweet water temps this year! _________________ BaDaBing Fishing Team

haha, so right Joe, thats why I tell people get the cheapest dive knife you can find, you get a $100 titanium one and you will loose it first dive! Regulators are another story, I dont mind dropping $ on them. Lost a gun first dive 2 yrs ago....
Sounds like you are gonna have the boat decked out nicely, send some pics when you get her complete.

hahaha, that is awesome Matt!! I leave a ugly beat up cooler in my truck bed and no one will touch it. Leave a nice one in there and it will be gone in no time.

OK, the boat is back in service and we're going out (weather-permitting) both days this weekend. Have an extra seat for each day, split gas/oil cost. We'll be hitting ledges in the FPT area, good chance to open the season slaying some grouper, hogs and lobsters. _________________ BaDaBing Fishing Team

We take fishermen with us sometimes, but the crew is mostly spearos. We don't anchor up, we "live boat" with a float jug, so not ideal for fishing when the boat is drifting.
I'd encourage you to rethink the hookah and consider getting dive certified. You want the mobility of a self-sufficient air supply, especially if you shoot a big cobia or AP that wants to drag you around. _________________ BaDaBing Fishing Team
