I am taking the family down for a week on Saturday. Have always been to Hatteras, so I have no idea what gear to bring or what to fish for. Any input would be appreciated. Also, I have an 18' bowrider, usually use for water skiing in fresh water, but should I bring it down? I see lots of small waterways on google maps and wonder how the fishing would be in there in early April.
Thanks for the advise in advance. Happy fishing!! |

The surf is producing whiting on shrimp, blues on cutbait. Piers doing well on whiting and occasional flounder. Creeks producing specs and reds. If you have a depth finder and a inshore map your boat would work for fishing around here, watch the tides. Off Bald Head been catching quite a bit of whiting on the boat. Hope this helps. _________________ 22\' Key West CC
