Skunked yesterday!
Tried shrimp, spoons, plastics at the fall, low tide, rise and high tide. Not even a bite besides the pin fish.
Gonna try again today and Friday once this cold front pulls out.
Anybody else have any luck? |

| A friend of mine fished off the north end of CB a couple days ago & didn't catch anything either & used shrimp for bait. I went down the river near Bald Head Island on Tues morning w/ 2 friends to try & hit the whiting run, but we didn't do any good- just 2 little 1s & 2 tiny sea bass. Looked like the other 12-14 boats there had similar luck, unless it improved in the afternoon. Hopefully that means they left the river & are heading into the ocean, so should be along the beaches soon...unless the netters get 'em first! |

Yeah I read that the netters are really blocking some good fishing along shoreline. You know they love to lurk on these sites and wait for us to post reports on where they are, then go set the nets.........grrrr

Not sure about that, but they've been off Kure Beach/Ft Fisher for at least the past few weeks. And people wonder why fishing from the beaches & piers is so bad! |

They absolutely do, I have heard of a few that wait to read where a school is holding up then go net from shore line to shore line in many creeks and bays once a report of a good catch is made.

| I've heard/read that many times & it's a shame. If that's true, you guys who regularly post reports about inshore fishing (especially when it's good- I haven't had that "problem"!) might want to keep quiet on specifics about what's biting where. Might want to just report water temps, what they're biting on & when, but leave out locations... |

..somebody on here told us ANYONE who did just that was doing nothing but FISH PORN....he/she wanted locations, bait, tide and take them with me when I go if at all possible...... |

Few spots, small blues and puffers. Did catch one really nice blue on cut bait. It has picked up a little but still nothing to write home about. Trying again later today before we hit the chowder festival.  |

..well what is the difference in being covered up by NETTERS and being covered up by INTER-NETTERS just waiting for someone to make it happen for them??????????? |

Mist...Elaborate on your last 2 post...If someone tells me the spanish are hot off kure pier & 5 guys show up from the internet to catch them, then have at it..But if someone says that and 3 bosts show up with dome size nets and surrounds us? The comparison of those two scenarios are WAY off

...move over to the water-way and/or surf and lets talk speckled trout.....
Yes I have had NETTERS COVER ME UP there too..but the REAL PITA were the "Barneys" who READ AND RESPONDED.......
NO THE COMPARISONS ARE not WAY OFF!!!! |

...Those are sea-mullet netters off the beachs...and as soon as the water WARMS JUST A LITTLE MORE...both will be gone!!! that 1st of the SPRING MONEY HELPS my commercial friends............... |
