| They have a buoy-bag tied to the anchor rope. When they are fighting a fish they throw the rope over. After they land the fish they go back and retrieve the rope attached to the buoy-bag "the anchor". |

| They have the anchor line on a float, and cast off when hooked up. Similar to what you can do when cobia fishing from anchor. |
