Anyone get any bad fuel at Topsail this weekend? Don't want to mention the store name unless others had a problem. I had outboard and generator problems. Both ran good last time I used them. Topped both off Friday night with super unleaded. Kind of odd if it is not a fuel problem

I konw a guy that had problems with his skiff last year. Both times it was water in the fuel (alot of water was pumped out). His fuel was bought more toward sneads ferry area. He stopped buying fuel at that location and has had no problems. _________________ Matador

It is not that it was a secret, I was not sure that gas was the problem, so I didn't want to give the station name and falsely accuse them. If several others had a problem from the same station then I don't need to carry my boat to the shop, if no one else had a problem then I need to take mine to Yopps and get it checked out. Sorry, Nothing mysterious implied.
I do use Sta-bil and ran the boat the last week of March it was fine then. pump a quart of gas out of the boat into a jar and let is set a while. could not see any water in the gas.
Guess I will be seeing Yopp Bro next trip to the beach |
