So Ive chalked this one up as a Red Hind, but am not so sure now. Could it be a Coney or juvenile of another species? It had blue spots on its body and yellow on the ends of its fins. _________________ Kencraft Challenger 250 |

well..good news and bad news.
Good news. I know what it is.
Bad news... since you have handled it, your hand is going to fall off. But not the hand you picked it up with, the other one.
But seriously... Its a red fish. Best i got.
Ill keep tabs on this one, i am interested. If its a coney, its a REALLY bright one.
How close are you to nuclear water? in which case, the fish may be the least of your worries..
.... cant tell that i am bored, can you? |

Yep, I did a reproduction mount of one of those for a captain last year. His didn't have as much yellow on the fins like your does but it was a pretty fish. It seems the species can vary in color from the beautiful red to a lovely golden yellow.
