no offshore for me last weekend. Got blown out so we headed to the mountains for some trout fishing. mostly brookies, with 1 brown. Fished near Boone. had a blast with my son! one slipped out of my hands and he did a bellyflop in the ice cold water to get it! not the same as the big fish, but better than napping on the couch!
Any one got any recomendations on a stream up there wide enough to learn to flyfish on? |

i learned to fly fish with my dad off of hw 221, less than 30min from boone
windy hill rd & river run, it was a gravel rd, plenty of wide open areas and slower water around the bend. caught a brook |

Thanks for the tip. We'll try it next time.
Brian,
only had my phone as a camera so didn't take any other pics. |
