I'm trying to figure out where to fish with no good SST for four or five days. I know Dave places emphasis on MLD but my question is how accurate is the MLD forecast when we have a consistent cloud cover? Would the same dynamics control Sea Surface Height. I would ask this question Saturday night as I was looking forward to attending but will be unable to. _________________ "It's not what you gather but what you scatter that makes life meaningful" |

MLD has proved to be very accurate. IMHO it is the best of the data sets out there.
With loads of cloud cover around....Go to Salinity and MLD> Both are cloud free.
