Does anyone have any suggestions for diving spots out of Holden beach or Oak Island preferably in less than 100 ft of water. I would love to figure something out for memorial day weekend.

I would look for live bottom around the tower if I were you. However I try not to get to shallow, the deeper you go the bigger the fish. I heard good things about finding good hogs and bugs around the tower. The main thing is you want to watch your sounder first to make sure you find good bottom, then make sure you anchor in the right spot so you don't miss the fish when you drop down.

Might want to consider drift diving instead of anchoring. That area is an anchor graveyard. Be safe if you're drifting though. Easy to make one or mistakes that could cause serious problems... Also, sometimes the current is strong and sometimes the topside current is different than bottom which can lead to trouble picking up your buddies...
