Hey Cap'n Dave...I see pics of the last couple of trips with some brown bandits coming over the rail....was wondering if those were caught on bottom, light line or what.
Any details or hints?
Thanks! |

They were caught on Bottom rigs....mostly with Boston Mac. ONe of the GOOD things about working a head boat is we put SOOOO much bait in teh water that they do tend to come around.

Awesome!
I was wondering when they would start to show up, it is about time for 'em. Hope they move nearshore soon!
Do you think all the bait in the water helps to bring in the grouper too?
Anyone use butterfly jigs on the Shelf yet?
We're trying to plan a summer and fall group on the 24 hour overnighters, would love to live bait (pinfish) or use butterfly jigs to isolate larger quality fish.
Thanks Dave! |

We have them use them all the time. Some do real well.
Both are welcome.
